Tasting Notes

Salmon in colour, the 2021 Rosé gives ripe strawberry and raspberry on the nose, along with rhubarb and white flowers. Notes of dried herbs and white pepper bring a subtle savory complexity. Medium bodied, the wine has great richness, and its silky texture is in harmony with the fresh acidity of the wine. This charming dry style of Rosé is perfect as an aperitif, but also provides endless food pairing opportunities at the table.

Vintage Notes

A Mediterranean inspired blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, along with a small percentage of Tempranillo. The Syrah, harvested sightly earlier than it would be for red wine, brings fresh vibrant red fruit and floral aromas. The Mourvèdre contributes a savoury perspective to the wine, with notes of dried herbs and pepper. The Tempranillo brings pure red berry fruit. Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes were whole bunch pressed using very slow and gentle press cycles, while the Tempranillo was made using the Saignée method – draining juice early during a red wine maceration. The wine was fermented in stainless steel vessels to maintain vibrant and fresh fruit flavours, and then spent four months maturing on its fermentation lees, imparting subtle creamy aromas and an added textural dimension.
